Skyzone deal marks entry into Pakistan market

Sulnox, the greentech company delivering lower fuel costs and emissions with zero capex, is pleased to announce a distribution agreement with Skyzone Technologies Pvt Ltd (“Skyzone”), a Pakistan-based energy and industrial solutions provider with operations spanning chemicals, diesel genset systems
Greentech innovator Sulnox has officially entered the Pakistan maritime market through a strategic distribution agreement with Skyzone Technologies Pvt Ltd. This partnership aims to reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions across diesel genset systems and marine propulsion units without requiring capital expenditure. By leveraging Skyzone’s industrial expertise, the initiative targets improved operational efficiency for vessels calling at the Port of Karachi and Port Qasim, aligning with global efforts to lower bunker costs while enhancing overall fleet sustainability performance.
This collaboration arrives as shipping companies face mounting pressure to comply with MARPOL Annex VI regulations regarding air pollution and the mandatory Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) ratings. Under SOLAS Chapter II-1, vessel operators must ensure that fuel-saving technologies do not compromise the safety or integrity of engine room machinery. By integrating Sulnox fuel conditioners, technical superintendents can better manage fuel quality and combustion efficiency, ensuring that their vessels remain within the strict emissions limits set by the IMO’s decarbonization roadmap for international shipping.
Chief engineers and second engineers must now evaluate how these fuel-additive technologies integrate with existing engine management systems and fuel oil treatment plants. These officers should monitor fuel consumption data closely to verify performance improvements during sea passages. It is essential for engine room teams to document any changes in combustion quality and exhaust gas readings to ensure accurate reporting for environmental compliance audits and to maintain optimal engine health during long-haul voyages.
